I recently tried the Sulwhasoo Ultimate S Cream, and I must say, it's been quite an experience. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident from the moment you apply it to your skin.
What I love most about this cream is its ability to hydrate and visibly firm the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The Ginseng Berry SR really works wonders, giving my skin a much-needed boost of vitality.

Now, I picked up this cream for my wife and her feedback is positive. That's right ladies, happy wife, happy life, I know! After using this for a short spell in her skin care routine, she said its an amazing find! The cream claims, to rejuvenate your skin while keeping it feeling luxurious!
Personally, we believe the scent has a pleasant light berry scent (Gensing) but, not sweet like other scented lotions. It reminds her of a more affordable day cream, she has by L'Oreal.
The texture and scent are very similar. But, this one seems a bit heavier on the skin after applying. Maybe, this one is just more "decadent". Also, it remained pretty thick even after a short wait for absorption and prefers a lightweight day cream. She would reserve this for her night time skin care. I mean, especially at the price!
Let's talk about the retail presentation now. The packaging is very heavy duty, and reminds me of a cool piece of clay pottery. It comes with a little plastic spatula for preventing cross contamination. However, most likely she'll just use her finger lol. We do love that you can just pop out the insert when it's empty as they offer refills for a cheaper price. Unlike other companies, where you must repurchase the entire product and container.
Get the magnifying glass out, to read the ingredients. We would appreciate, if the packaging had made the list of ingredients, possible to read. The tiny font is printed so tightly together and with such a light ink, it's not possible without a magnifying glass. If you're mindful of what's in your body products, you will have a bunch to read up on. This cream has a ton of ingredients listed.
If your skin care routine is about sensory and luxury the Ultimate S Cream could be a good investment for you. But for us considering the cost and the amount you're purchasing, she'll most likely reserve it for occasional use when her skin is craving an extra sip of moisture.

Sulwhasoo Ultimate S Cream is beautifully presented in a heavy, eye-catching jar. The cream itself is contained within a disposable pod and contains 1.01 ounces of product.
There’s no question that this is an expensive cream. But for those who look for products that have a luxurious look and feel, this one fits the bill.
The cream is a medium-consistency and has a silky feeling so it glides easily on the skin. It takes a minute or so to absorb and leaves my skin feeling soft and looking dewy. I apply it in the morning after cleansing, toning, and using a vitamin C serum. Because of the silicone-like feel, it makes a nice base for my makeup application.
As far as results, I’ve just started using it so other than the softening of my skin and dewy look, I know that age-fighting results will take several weeks as skin goes through a complete cycle.
This cream has a light floral fragrance. I don’t normally like my skincare products to be scented but this one is light enough to not be irritating and I actually enjoy it.
Overall, while this cream isn’t miraculous, it makes me feel pampered and the jar looks amazing on my shelf.

I read the oz on this, but my brain didn't realize what that would look like. The actual pod of cream is Itty bitty. In fact, it's not much bigger than a Nespresso pod. Even the decorative jar is super small (they sell another jar that is a bit bigger, but barely).
The cream is good. It has a very light fragrance and a little goes a long way. Still, if I use this even once a day, this Itty bitty pod would maybe last a month or two tops. That would get really, really expensive.
The bottom line on this; it's expensive and you can probably get the same level of effectiveness with other brands. If money were no object though, I might consider continuing to use it. Plus, the jar is very attractive on my bathroom counter.

The jar design is striking but leaves a sloped surface area which is difficult to grip and twist open. It seriously took me 15 minutes to open the first time and since then I haven’t tightened the jar all the way.
The cream itself boasts many unique and apparently some rare ginseng berry ingredients. And despite the first ingredient being water it has a rich but lightweight slightly whipped texture; and is very hydrating. The fragrance is fresh floral but doesn’t linger all day or night. I am a fan of the moisturized feel without tackiness but there were no overnight miracles.

Due to the price of this product, I realize that I am not the target audience for this lotion. Since price is relative to each individual, I try not to factor price into my reviews often, but sometimes if it is extreme one way or the other it has to factor in a bit. At this price point, quite honestly, I would not be completely happy unless it actually made me 25 again. All that being said, I really do like this product and I will be very sad when it is gone. It is a nice, thick cream that glides easily across the skin. It absorbs well and leaves you feeling silky smooth. It is a very soothing lotion that does make your skin feel better instantly. I feel like it leaves my skin looking brighter and more even. I think it is extremely hydrating and certainly helps with any dryness. I do think it helps a bit with the fine lines, though I can't say it completely solves the problem. You can easily use this at night or morning. I have had no problems applying makeup after this. It really doesn't take much either, so that is nice. If you put it on too thick it will take a while to absorb. I did a little research and found that this product is not completely cruelty free. Again, at this price, I feel like that could be remedied. I can't smell anything, but I have heard that this one has a very pleasant smell. The container is unique and looks exquisite. The lid is easy to unscrew and leaves you with a nice wide opening to grab the amount you need. I do wish this product was somewhere in the realm of affordability. I would spend a little bit more on this product, but I can't justify the current amount.

I’m late 30s and have been trying a variety of new moisturizers and skin care products. This one is certainly impressive, especially around the outer region of both eyes (crow’s feet area). It goes on well and seems to truly be absorbed by the skin. It is one of the few products that seems to provide an immediate result.

I have been using this morning and night as directed. First off the scent is amazing and relaxing. The ultimate S cream feels great going on and absorbs within a minute or two. I have sensitive skin and it has calmed my skin and causes me no issues. I also have dry skin and this cream will help so much especially going into and through the winter months as it feels very moisturizing. My skin looks very healthy, vibrant and my tone is more even. Very nice so far and I will be trying more of their products.
