I'm very happy with the effect of this serum, but I do think it smells a bit meh. It's not off-putting, but it's also not my favorite thing in the world. The serum itself seems to be very gentle, as I have been using it daily with not a problem.

If you've been in the KBeauty scene for the last few years you've heard of the brand Anua. They have recently come out with a new line of products including the Anua Rice Creamide 7 Hydrating Barrier Serum. I will generally apply this serum as my 3rd or 4th step in my skincare routine following my cleanser and toner steps. The serum is on the gooey side but it does come in a dropper type bottle that helps ease the distribution of the serum onto my face. I noticed after consistently using the item for a few weeks my skin does look less dull and much more hydrated overall, but has a more consistent healthy glow. The serums absorbs into my skin nicely and almost immediately and I can use the serum as part of both my AM and PM routine. I notice that even as using it as part of my AM routine, it doesn't leave a heavy oily glow and works nicely with my combination type skin.

This Rice 7 Plus ceramide serum by Anua has very few ingredients that could irritate the skin nearby making it a great serum for everyday use. Out of the pump (yes, it has a pump rather than a dropper, yay!) it is clear and odorless. The serum smoothes over the skin easily, so very little is required. In a matter of minutes it is fully absorbed, and leaves no tackiness on the skin. I've been using it only a few days so cannot comment on the smoothness or brightness of my complexion as those benefits take time. However, it does seem to hydrate well, and has not irritated my overly sensitive skin at all. On the contrary, my skin always seems to lose some redness when I apply this serum. It has some excellent ingredients, like rice bran water, which is the very first ingredient and thought to have many benefits for the skin. This formula also contains niacinamide, adenosine, ceramide NP, various forms of hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and Allantoin. All of these ingredients together will work to hydrate, form a moisture barrier to keep moisture in the skin, smooth, repair, brighten, calm and soothe. Unfortunately, this serum also contains an ingredient that I am not in favor of, carbomer. Carbomer is used to keep ingredients from separating and improves the overall texture. But, it is a microplastic, not biodegradable and detrimental to our marine life. If not for that this product would be a five-star rating for me. This serum is selling at the more than fair price of $19., a good value, just please find a more natural alternative to the carbomer and you can be my serum for life!

This serum has no scent and the gel formula goes on easily and absorbs into your skin. I find that it was not sticky at all and it was easy to apply my sunscreen over it without it pilling. I have sensitive skin and I was happy to see that this did not irritate my skin and also left it feeling calm. When I go running with my daughter in the hot Houston heat, my face is usually red. This serum is gentle and seemed to help calm my skin.

This is a very gentle and moisturizing serum. It’s completely unscented, which I really appreciate. I’m not expecting any miracles from this product, but I plan to add it to my skincare routine to help my skin, retain moisture and lock in my stronger skin care products. it’s not sticky, but dries to kind of silky finish.

This serum is the most slimy serum I have ever used, even against mucin. It feels very nice on the skin but every time i tap the serum between my fingers/hands, it strings and doesn't break causing me to inhale the slimy substance. It is very hydrating and does well on my skin, but i knocked a star off for the slime factor.

This serum did a wonderful job keeping my skin moisturized and hydrated while leaving my skin looking bright and radiant. My skin was able to absorbed the serum quickly while leaving them feeling soft and smooth. There is no scent or residues left behind on my skin. This serum also nourishes my skin leaving them looking shiny but not oily or greasy. This serum is gentle on my sensitive skin as I didn’t get any side effects or skin irritations.

I've been struggling with keeping my skin hydrated enough especially during the day because it tends to get oily so I'm afraid to use products that are too heavy. This is a great balance as it's a nice lightweight serum that packs in a lot of non oily moisture. I've been using it under my regular moisturizer and it works great.
