This is really lovely. I don't know about results, I don't think I ever see results....I am what I am, 43! I have clear skin, but it's dry and very sensitive. This caused no adverse reaction, and to most (I detect VERY faint) would probably be unscented. I can't do fragrance due to migraines, and this was fine for me. It does a great job keeping my face hydrated, and I use a serum and cream as well. I find this to be soothing and it plays well with my other products. It's cruelty-free, a glass (yay eco!) bottle, and has great ingredients. $28 at time of review, is a fair price IMO. A little goes a long way and it's a generous size.

This essence has a light, milky consistency that is loose but you can feel the moisture soaking into your skin. It is not sticky and absorbs rather quickly. My face does feel dewy and moisturized after using this. I following up with a probiotic moisturizer after using this to keep the moisture in. My face has been feeling quite plump and fresh lately and I would say this is helping after the last few weeks of use nightly. There’s no real smell to this and the bottle is opaque glass. I think it has a good value too for an essence of this quality and amount.

The thing that makes this toner strange is how it resembles runny lotion. It’s white. All toners I’ve used in the past were clear and exfoliating in some fashion. This feels nourishing on the skin, no sting or bite for me and I have lupus skin issues. Butterfly rash on my face, and this seems to help (it’s so hard to tell precisely what helps when you’re trying new things, but I think it was this that helped sooth the itch and fade.). Absolutely would recommend.

This feels luxurious to use. It comes in a glass bottle which is automatically high-end. I thought it would be a liquid based on it being called an essence and the sound when I shook it, but it's actually a thin milky serum. Definitely hydrating and best I can tell, completely unscented. Did not cause any sensitivity.

This essence toner is soothing, cold, and effective! I can feel my skin feeling smoother and looking a little better each time I use it. Consistency is key with this toner. I like how hydrating and moisturizing it is! It doesn’t have any problems with make up either if you use it right away. Very nice on the go as well.

I have loved other products from haruharu and I have loved other toners boasting fermented ingredients and probiotics, so I was not surprised at all that this is one of the best essences I have ever used! I pat this onto my skin after my spray toner - you shake the bottle well and dispense some of the opaque milky toner and apply it and press it into your skin. Normally I am getting ready for the day as I do my skincare routine ... twice I nearly forgot moisturizer because my skin already felt hydrated, refreshed and plump from the haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence all by itself! There was no "skin feels tight - oh! moisturizer!" moment! In fact, I have let it simplify my skincare routine for the summer - since it does such a great job of moisturizing my skin, I skip a separate moisturizer and move right onto a moisturizing SPF! It also has no discernable scent - like I said, I have used other products with fermented ingredients and they tend to smell very ... earthy ... which is fine with me but I know others do not find pleasant - haruharu gives you the ferment without the scent!

I got way more than I expected with this product. I wasn't sure about it at 1st since I'm a wash, tone, moisture kind of girl most days. I really prefer to keep it simple but adding this in between toning and moisturizing has been great! My skin has less problem spots and feels very moisturized. I feel like my skin tone actually looks brighter which I'm always trying to achieve. It's easy to pat on and really made a difference for me. I personally do recommend it.
