• Would I get it again or recommend it and why:
-Maybe, it's not quite a budget or value pick due to the higher price. However I really enjoyed it and the soothing, cooling, refreshing feel on the skin. It’s well formulated and very gentle.
-It's a gentle, fragrance-free formula that is soothing and feels good on the skin, almost a bit cooling (but without harsh ingredients like mint, etc.).
-The pads themselves are very soft and gentle on the skin and are well saturated with the liquid. It’s not messy to use and you don’t have to wring out the pad before using it (due to excess moisture).
-Note that the ingredients in the listing are a bit different than what's printed on the carton. I included the actual ingredients as listed on the carton below.
• Brand, style and version:
-Brand: Dr.G
-Version: Red Blemish Clear Quick Soothing Pads, Pack of 70
• Size:
-70 pads (standard round full size pads, one area on the edge with a half moon indent to grab them)
-You could cut them down and get 2 uses per pad, but since they are damp and fully saturated with treatment liquid, they may be difficult to cut.
• Quality and Value:
-The value is fair, but not great, due to the small size and the higher price.
-However the formula is excellent. It's gentle on the skin and the pads are soft but well saturated with treatment liquid. The formula is well done and feels good on the skin.
• Container:
-It's in a mostly (clear at the base) opaque non see-through container to protect the ingredients from light degradation.
-It is safety sealed for protection and hygiene.
-It's in a standard twist off top jar.
-A pair of mini tongs are included to remove the pads. Note that they tend to grab two vs 1 pads. I had to separate the pads to get just one. If they look very thick, you probably have grabbed 2 vs 1 pad.
• Scent:
-No added perfumes, fragrances, essential oils or fragrant plant extracts.
-I could detect a moderate scent from the natural ingredients when testing the jar for scent.
-However, during use and on the face, it was barely noticeable and went away almost immediately.
-I would still consider this safe for most people sensitive to scents.
•Formula, Application and Use:
-They are pads that are pre-soaked in treatment liquid.
-The carton suggests laying the pads on the skin, I used them as a standard pad and wiped it across my face and neck.
-The pads are well saturated but not overly soaked (you don't have a mess or have to wring them out).
-There's more than enough moisture in one pad to treat your entire face and neck.
-The pad holds together well and doesn’t tear or fall apart during use.
-I found the pads very soft and liked the half moon edge on the circle that made them easier to grip with the tongs.
-The moisture level is on the medium side of light and those with oily skin may find this moisturizing enough by itself.
-If your skin is normal to dry you likely will need to add or layer a moisturizer in lotion or cream form over it.
-It did leave the skin a bit sticky feeling. It's likely best not used under makeup, but after removing it.
• Sensitive skin:
-I would consider this sensitive skin friendly.
-I had no issues on my sensitive skin with burning, stinging, itching, redness or irritation during or delayed after use.
• Skin Types:
-Oily
-Normal
-Dry
-Sensitive
• Skin issues and concerns it addresses:
-Dryness
-Use as a toner or liquid in skincare and skincare layering.
-Could be used as a quick facial cleansing pad (but likely won't remove makeup, it's more of a toner).
• Body Areas:
-Face
-Neck

• Allergens:
-No gluten, wheat or common allergens are listed on the container or ingredients listing.
-It does contain aloe extract.
• Pros:
-70 standard sized large round pads (with a half moon cut out on one side to grip with the tongs) included (pre-soaked in the jar)
-Pads are fully saturated but not overly so, and aren't messy to use. You don't have to wring them out before use.
-The pads are soft and appear to be dye free (but are tinted a bit from the liquid).
-Includes a mini pair of tongs to remove the pads (it's in the jar)
-No common allergens, gluten or wheat listed on the label.
-No common irritants such as irritating alcohols, essential oils or irritating plant extracts.
-Fragrance-free with no added perfumes, fragrances, essential oils or fragrant plant oils. However it does have a moderate natural scent from the natural ingredients. It's only noticeable in the jar, not during use or after use. It goes away almost instantly after use. It still would be safe for most people sensitive to scents.
-Gentle, non irritating.
-Dye free (both on the liquid and the pads)
-Very good ingredient listing.
-Light (medium side of light) moisturizing level.
-The container was safety sealed.
• Cons:
-The ingredients were not printed on the container but were on the outer carton. I had to clip them off and attach them to the container with a clear hair elastic.
-The value is fair vs a budget pick due to the higher price. However the formula and pads are excellent.
-I found it very difficult to open the inner lid to access the pads. It keeps it well sealed until use and prevents leaking. But it's very difficult to remove. I had to get a pair of pliers and use it to pull the tab upward to remove the inner lid (you can dispose of it after removing it, the jar is a twist top jar).
-It did leave a sticky feeling on the skin, it might be best used at bedtime vs under makeup due to this.
• Tips and Thoughts:
-This makes a great toner or liquid step in your skincare routine or in skincare layering.
-Most people, except those with oily to very oily skin, will need more moisture than this provides. You will likely need to layer a skincare moisturizer in a lotion or cream form over this for more moisture. This only provides a light (medium side of light) moisture.
• Impression:
-70 very gentle, lightly (medium side of light) moisturizing facial liquid toner pads.
-Non irritating, no fragrances added, feels very soothing and nice on the skin.
-Good ingredient listing and well formulated.
-The pads are soft and hold up well during use, they aren't messy to use.
-1 pad is enough to treat your entire face and neck.
