Roundlab Birch juice Moisturizing Cream 80ml

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical upon buying this moisturizer. I have oily yet dehydrated skin, which is an absolute nightmare because most hydrating products leave a residue that make me even oiler. Moisturizers are especially tricky. I had a recent oil spell where my skin was just out of control. So, I took this out of my skincare rotation and just used my emulsion as a moisturizer (as I did before), thinking this moisturizer was just too thick for me. The oil spell continued, if not worsened. I added this moisturizer back into my routine because it had been a while and I didn’t want to waste it, but I used less than usual, just a pea size for my whole face. Amazingly, my skin absorbed it quickly and it left a velvety finish (after the initial post-skincare glow), which I had never felt before. Usually, after skincare, I’m a glazed donut for hours (to the point where I have had to wipe my face before I go to bed so I don’t get my pillow sticky). I’m used to just slathering moisturizer on to “lock” everything in, which probably contributed to me thinking this moisturizer was too much for my skin (and past moisturizers too, possibly…^^;). I was probably using about 3-4 pea sizes worth. Ever since using a pea size for my whole face, my skin feels so velvety. Not greasy, not dry (which sometimes was an issue for me as well), but a perfect in between. Which, for someone who is used to being a greaseball, especially in my T zone, feels crazy. I’m not supposed to touch my face but sometimes I can’t help brushing the back of my fingers along my face because it still shocks me I no longer need to use oil blotting papers nearly as much as I used to, if at all during the day (a reality I had to face for years). Will definitely be buying again once I finish this moisturizer up.
