I was hesitant to buy this product as skin-care enthusiast that a, has skin-care budget limits and b, dry, eczema-prone skin. Some of the paid reviewers claimed that this is a layer in addition to your moisturizer. While some might thrive with 8 step routines, I prefer to have a few items that actually work and meet the needs of my skin. Sulwhasoo allows for both approaches. Let’s get this straight: This is for all intents and purposes a lightweight moisturizer/lotion that only requires a few pumps. At my current rate, the emulsion will likely last me most of the summer, making it outstanding value for money. Adding extra occlusive layers might work for you, but to me that feels like overkill as the emulsion already has an almost oil-like texture that absorbs nicely. Overall, the product gives my skin a subtle glow during the day with some SPF. At night, my skin feels nourished and moisturized. The fragrance is perfectly fine for my skin and disappears within seconds when applied.

I got this as a sample a year ago and loved it so much I decided to purchase it. It has a rich, lush, moisturizing feel, and I use it as a night time moisturizer. Will definitely repurchase.

I'm a huge fan of the Sulwahsoo brand as I've tried several of their products and they all work exceptionally well. This lotion is no exception. This lightweight lotion hydrates my skin well. It has a pleasant smell. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser.

It hydrates and moisturize the skin I didn't do much research on how it needs to be used vs use it like any other body lotion and it works. keeps skin smooth and take away the dryness. But with high price point I imagine it does need to be used in a specific way which i am sure i know to be fully realizing the benefits.

Wonderful lightweight moisturizer that doesn't clog pores. I've been using it every night and it leaves my skin looking fresh and dewy and doesn't irritate it at all.

I was so excited to get to test this out and review it, I've been a big fan of this brand for a while, and have wanted to get my hands on this product. This emulsion is like wrapping your face in a big hug, I really really love this, I've been using it for the past month and can really see a difference in the bounciness and brightness of my skin. This is a really great product to use to lock in your skin care and I've been so impressed with it. The price point is a little high, but definitely comparable with similar products like this and absolutely worth it in my opinion!

Sulwhasoo Essential Comfort Balancing Emulsion is like a light creamy cream, somewhere between a lotion and a cream. Comes in a beautiful glass bottle with a capacity of 125ml. Its ingredients help moisturize, smooth and nourish the skin. It is very hydrating and nourishing for dry or dull skin during winter or cold days. Absorbs quickly, skin looks better and feels comfortable after application. Honestly, I think it works well as a lotion, but not sure if $72 is worth it.

I have been using this product on my skin which is on the oily side but also benefits a lot from moisturizing. This lotion comes in a glass bottle with a pump top that dispenses just a little at a time. A little bit seems to go a long way, and I find that I only need 2 or 3 pumps to have enough lotion to cover my face and neck. At this rate, the bottle will last a long time. This product is scented, but the scent is light enough that it doesn't bother me, and I don't notice any smell once I have finished putting it on. The lotion feels lightweight on my skin, and I honestly forget that it's even there. My skin can be on the sensitive side, so I'm happy that this lotion hasn't caused any kind of reactions from using it. I haven't noticed any big differences in my skin yet, but I also don't think I've used it enough to make a dramatic difference. I like it enough that I plan to continue using it.

Nothing in this lotion type moisturizer irritated my face, even with a mild rosacea outbreak. It helped calm down the redness and discomfort. If your skin needs tender loving care, this is an excellent option you.
